“This is not my art” is a multi-disciplinary, mixed media art performance, comprising monologues (tweets) and AI-generated images.
It is constructed as tweets, a small interview with the GPT3 (the other AI system from the same company -OpenAI- behind the Dall-e2) about AI-generated images, and images created by AI with prompts from the artist himself.
The project basically questions prompt designers who claim to be artists just because they are inputting text, but not the use of AI itself as a tool.
Tweets contain the artist’s honest thoughts and lay the foundation for the collection.
At first sight, tweets look like just any other rant from someone on Twitter, just to provoke a conversation around the subject.
But they are part of the artwork; therefore, those tweets and the image collection become a performative, multidisciplinary, and mixed media artwork with all its content in its entirety.
Which has never been done before.
The project was put in motion with the tweet “Action!” and the video teaser which was published a couple of weeks ago. (You can find all the tweets on the artist’s Twitter profile as his pinned tweet.)
Sometimes, they may be out of order, daring, stupid or harsh.
And sometimes it may feel like there’s no order.
The only order there (if there is one), is the chronological one, which, any moment in time when the artist reacted to what he heard about the subject.
This is him and this is how his mind works.
The images created by the AI system are in the same style as the artist’s original works, in order to keep the continuity of his own works but also to make a clear point to;
1) AI could be a tool and be used to complement an artist’s work,
2) How easy it is to create images with AI and nobody’s work is safe from it.
They are only symbolizing the reactions and thoughts of the artist.
Think of them as tickets from an event that you really liked and kept inside a book to remember forever.

-Just me and my art.
-There is NO imminent utility for the holders but the appreciation of art.
-There may be (may also not be) some airdrops in the future.
-But you can be sure that all revenue will be used, directly or indirectly, for art.

Thank you so much for using HeyMint! If you have any questions or feedback, let us know from Twitter (@heymintxyz) or email us at [email protected]!
Yes! Everything is completely free!
We believe that every creator should have access to the tools they need to launch their NFT collection without paying a penny.
We know the market is tough right now, which gives us all the more reason to build free tools to support creators that need them.
We've already saved creators over $1 million in PREMINT fees, and our goal is now $5 million!
If you're on board with this mission, you can show your support by following us on Twitter at @heymintxyz. Thank you!
We created HeyMint to provide creators with a completely free alternative to PREMINT because we saw so many creators suffering with the high cost of creating a project.
While both HeyMint and PREMINT are free for collectors to use, PREMINT costs creators 1 ETH, or $1800+, just to run allowlist management.
Many NFT creators, especially with the proliferation of free mint projects, either cannot afford those rates or would rather invest that money in more meaningful ways to move their project forward.
Moreover, we offer creators several features that don't exist with PREMINT, which has caused a number of creators who previously used PREMINT to switch over to our platform.
We also aim to provide best in class service and support for both collectors and creators. You can reach us anytime at [email protected], on Twitter at @heymintxyz, or using the chat button in the bottom right corner of this page.
We are a fully doxxed team of NFT project creators ourselves, and our passion is helping other creators in this space launch their projects as affordably and easily as possible, rather than trying to earn as much money for ourselves as we can.
If you have any questions or would like to use HeyMint yourself, please feel free to reach out at [email protected]!
We're a small team of devs & creatives that love creating free tools for Web3.
Our dream is to help make Web3 mainstream by making the best free tools possible.
Our founders, Mai Akiyoshi (formerly a senior software engineer at a billion dollar startup, Gusto, featured on Forbes) and Ben Yu (a Thiel Fellow alongside Vitalik Buterin), are fully doxxed, and have longstanding reputations as entrepreneurs and engineers in Silicon Valley.
Absolutely! In fact, we added this ability *specifically* to make using HeyMint much safer over connecting your wallet directly to us.
Verifying your wallet with OpenSea means you only have to sign into OpenSea to prove your own your wallet address.
Now, we don't have to require *any* wallet connection to our site at all to verify your address, which means if a site pretending to be HeyMint ever asks you to connect your wallet - you know it's a scam!
